An Educational Session on Career’s of the Future at G.D. Goenka School
Global Education Ideas conducted an interactive session on Careers of the Future for 150 students of class XIth and XIIth at G.D. Goenka World School, Sohna Road Gurugram led by our Founder Mr. Amit Verma.
In this session students explored and discovered what are the career opportunities presently developing across the globe and will thrive in the upcoming 10 to 15 years. Students were urged to look beyond the regular courses like Engineering, MBA, and MBBS. We gave them a gist on how countries like Japan, USA, and other international countries have developed their technologies to exponential level and that has led to a paradigm shift in economy, society, and culture.
Students learned about various developments in technology like Japanese invention, a robotic pet called PARO for health assistance for old people; to how even your toaster (WIFI connected) will need protection from getting hacked.
Students also explored the future of Robotics and how robots are taking place of human beings as a workforce in big industries; like Amazon have already switched their workforce from human to robots.
In this session we explored following industries that are going to be critical industries in the future:
- Robotics & Industrial Automation
- Genomics
- Internet of Things
- Big data
- Food Technology
- Cyber Security
- Artificial Intelligence
The seminar is so designed to give participants an insight into what is shaping our future world, today. It shares with them the trends, demands and early signs moving into that direction. It covers what is happening currently in the world and how globally new sectors and geographies are emerging. Where India stands in all of this and how equipped students are to get into these sectors.
It shares with students’ academic opportunities that exist today worldwide to pursue courses and programs that prepare them for a career in the future. The seminar also covers what all preparation a student needs to do now to be eligible for these programs and to be selected to these programs.
Similar sessions will be conducted across various schools and colleges to spread awareness about Careers of the Future.
