An unexpected Express Entry Draw issues 3,900 Invitations

On November 15, 2018, Canada held an Express Entry draw issuing 3,900 Invitations with minimum CRS Cut-off 449.

The tie-break rule was applied to this draw and the date and time used were September 16, 2018, at 12:41:42 UTC. This means that all candidates with a CRS score above 449, as well as those candidates with scores of 449 who submitted their profile before September 16, 2018, at 12:41:42 UTC, received an ITA in this invitation round.

When more time is passed between two draws, more candidates enter the Express Entry pool and that can have the effect of raising the minimum CRS score. In this draw, there was a gap of 17 days, which is three days longer than the usual two-week period.

Candidates who receive a provincial nomination are given 600 extra points towards their CRS score which easily secures an ITA for Canada PR.

As per Canada’s updated multi-level immigration plan, it has the target of 88,800 Immigrants for the year 2021.

The Maximum number of Immigrants in Canada are admitted through the Express Entry System of Canada.
