New Express Entry draw maintains lowest CRS cut-off score of 2018

A new Express Entry draw conducted on May 9 2018 Issued 3,500 ITA’s and the CRS cut-off 441. This draw in number of invitations and CRS cut-off is same as of the last draw conducted on 25th April 2018, which is the least CRS cut-off and highest number of ITA’s issued till date in 2018.

Now with this draw the total number of ITA’s issued so far in the year 2018 sums up to 28,000.This is the 3rd draw which saw total number of ITA’s to be 3,500 out of the series of six draws conducted by far.

It seems that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is all set to meet its admissions targets for both 2018 and 2019 that surpass the target for 2017,either by increasing the draw sizes, or draws becoming more frequent, in the months to come.

As we’ve witnessed apparently, larger draws can have the effect of lowering the CRS cut-off score, or keeping it lower than smaller draws.

IRCC once again applied its tie-break rule in this invitation round. The date and time in this round was December 12, 2017 at 01:51:38 UTC.

This means that all candidates with a CRS score above 441, as well as those candidates with scores of 441 who submitted their profile before this time, received an ITA.

“Today’s draw was among the largest of 2018, which was good news for the 3,500 candidates invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence. Today’s draw was also considerably smaller than some of the draws that we saw in early 2017.”
