Ontario minimum CRS for HCP stream revised

The Canadian province of Ontario revised its minimum Comprehensive Ranking System Score for its Express Entry linked Human Capital Priorities Stream.

Earlier a minimum score of 400 was required by the candidates to apply for this stream but now this has been waived off and according to the new change the minimum score will be as “determined by the director”.

It also said the candidates while creating their Express Entry profile shall choose either Ontario or “All Provinces and Territories”.

In the last 3 OINP draws the 400 minimum CRS criteria was waived off for targeted candidates of Express Entry with a job offer and candidates with French Language abilities of CLB level 7 or higher.

Ontario in its draw on August 9 dropped its CRS to as low as 350 for targeted job offer candidates.

Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream is the most active stream and has issued a total of 3,534 Notification of Interest in 2018 to its selected Express Entry candidates.

Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination get an extra 600 points to their CRS score guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply in the following draw of Express Entry pool.
